Liporexin |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
Liporexin is a dietary supplement that appears to be formulated to promote weight loss in a variety of ways. It is advertised as an appetite suppressant, an energy enhancer, a fat burner, a detoxifier and a promoter of general health and nutrition. The formulation consists of a number of ingredients that may be found in many other weight loss products on the market.
The company claims that there is “virtually no work involved”, and the supplement “does the work for you.” We tend to be skeptical of products marketed as “miracle” pills in this way; lasting weight loss may require proper nutrition, regular exercise and commitment. We will assess the product’s formulation to see how effective it may be in producing advertised results.

 | Products Formula |
The product does not currently have an official website, but a list of ingredients and a supplement facts panel are available at other sites. It is said to be formulated to promote “rapid weight loss,” and it is also advertised as “clinically proven, fast-acting.” However, the findings of these clinical studies are not mentioned anywhere else on the website at this time.
Each serving of the supplement contains the following ingredients: 100 mcg of Chromium Polynicotinate; 100 mg of Caffeine; and 325 mg of a Proprietary InteliSlim Blend, which consists of Gymnema Sylvestre, Brazilian Green Tea Extract, Dandelion Root, Milk Thistle Whole Plant, Cayenne Pepper Herb, Apple Cider Vinegar and Noni Fruit Extract.

 | Formula In Depth |
According to the company, Brazilian Green Tea Extract is “the strongest Green Tea Leaf Extract in the world.” However, such a claim is not substantiated by any official findings at time of review. In general, Green Tea is purported to have a number of health-promoting benefits, including enhanced metabolic rate, appetite suppression and blood sugar level support.
We find that Gymnema Sylvestre is a common ingredient in many weight loss supplements on the market; it is said to be used for its alleged appetite suppressing qualities. But, the formulation does not include two ingredients that seem to show promise: Hoodia Gordonii and Advantra-Z®, the only known patented fat burner at time of review.

Individuals may purchase the product online, but it does not seem to be available through an official website; an online auction site, seems to be home to the product’s official retailer. We are not sure why the company does not have its own website, as we feel a successful company would like to distinguish itself with an online presence.
In any case, the company claims the product retails for about $79, but it is available through the website for around $12.99 per bottle. There are also several promotions going on at time of review, including several free bottle offers for bulk purchases. For example, an individual who purchases four bottles receives an additional bottle, and some who purchases 12 receives an additional five.

 | Conclusion |
The company marketing Liporexin claims that “losing weight doesn’t have to be expensive.” But this product seems to be more affordable than most weight loss supplements, which may indicate that the ingredients used are relatively cheap. More reputable products are known to contain higher-quality and more-expensive ingredients, like Hoodia.
We conclude that the product may have a number of ingredients known to promote general health, but there may be more effective weight loss formulations on the market. We believe Hoodia-based supplements may have a lot to offer, especially those that also contain a fat burner, like Advantra-Z®. The two are believed to be the leading ingredients of their kind, and may be found online as a free sample trial.
