7-DFB |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
7-DFB is a product created by Orovo LLC, a company that has really inundated the holistic market with formulas that seemed designed to “treat” a wide range of issues. Unfortunately, one of our main issues with this company is that many of their formulas attempt to address too many issues at once, and they end up addressing none effectively, we feel. We prefer products that are extremely focused and in turn, more results oriented.
7-DFB is a weight loss product, which is advertised as being a “7 Day Fat Burner”; helping users lose 7-14 pounds in 7 days. However, claims are just that “claims”, so let’s look at its formula, which is the core of this product to see what it actually has to offer.
|
 | Pros |
• Contains some ingredients that are health enhancing, but they are not true weight loss agents
|
 | Cons |
• Ingredient heavy
• Does not contain a patented fat burner or appetite suppressant
• May cause increased urination and bowel movements for some
|
 | Products Formula |
7-DFB contains too many elements to name, but here are a few of the more interesting ones: Buchu, Uva ursi, Flax seed powder, Ginger Root, Goldenseal, Chromium Polynicotinate, Psyllium Husk, Oat Bran Fiber and Caffeine Anyhdrous.

 | Formula In Depth |
7-DFB is advertised as a “quick detoxification pill” which is to be used before a “special occasion” or to “jumpstart” a diet plan. When we first read these claims, we thought that their product must contain some really spectacular weight loss agents such as Hoodia or Advantra-Z. However, that was not the case when we delved deeply into this formula. It is really a fiber heavy product which seeks to fill up users with elements such as Psyllium Husk and Oat Bran; however the rub with this avenue of weight loss is that it takes a lot of these elements to create this affect, more than an average user would get in a supplement, including this one.
It also uses some intense diuretics, such as Buchu, which means that this product may make users urinate more to make it appear as if they are losing weight. This leads us to our next issue - it contains some elements that are known laxatives, such as Goldenseal and Aloe Vera, which may make you have more bowel movements. This of course may give the appearance of weight loss, but in the end this weight may be very quickly regained.

 | Cost |
7-DFB is currently being sold for around $24.99 for a one-week supply, which is really expensive in terms of weight loss products. While reviewing this product we could not really understand why this product is so expensive given the elements that used in it. We would understand its expensive price tag better if it contained an element such as Hoodia, which can help users cut off their hunger at the source - the hypothalamus, giving them a sense of wellbeing and fullness.
When reviewing the value of a formula it is also important to see what other costs come with it, such as side effects, which should be factored into overall cost. For instance, Caffeine may cause insomnia, nervousness, head aches and increase blood pressure for some; Uva Ursi can cause nausea and vomiting, irritability, insomnia, and an increased heart rate; and Buchu can cause excessive fatigue, itchiness, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal swelling and pain, as well as jaundice.

 | Conclusion |
We know the kinds of claims made by products, such as 7-DFB, can be really appealing, especially since consumers are really worried about their weight gain, which for some may be creeping into the realm of obesity. However, it is clear to us, based on the formula alone, that it may not be able to provide users with long term sustainable weight loss. It is our belief that any weight lost on this plan will quickly return, due to the formulas transitory nature.
This is a very expensive formula, which includes many different herbal extracts. We do not like to see product developers do this, because it spreads the formula too thinly, we feel. We usually suggest that consumers who are interested in using holistic supplements seek out ones that addresses weight loss from a well thought out perspective, and which uses effective weight loss specific elements. Many of the more results oriented products will use Hoodia, an exceptional appetite suppressant, combined with Advantra-Z, an intense thermogenic agent; in fact users report that this combination really helped them meet and exceed their weight loss goals.
