20-Day Hoodia Diet™ |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
20-Day Hoodia Diet™ is a dietary supplement advertised as promoting weight loss through appetite suppression and enhanced metabolic rate. As the name implies, it has been formulated with Hoodia, an ingredient that has come to be regarded as an all-natural and safe ingredient. However, we feel that some formulations may not be as effective as others.
Appetite suppression and fat burning may be of particular interest to people who are looking for ways to overcome obesity. Reduced caloric intake is known to promote some weight loss, and losing even a little weight may have several benefits, like improved cardiovascular health. We will review the formulation to see if dieters may benefit from using it.

 | Products Formula |
We are somewhat confused by this product and its manufacturer. There is a “20-Day Hoodia Diet™” on the market, and there is also a “10-Day Hoodia Diet” on the market, both of which are marketed by Applied Nutrition. The latter is currently featured on the official website, while the former is not. We feel any individual would likely be thrown off by this.
However, upon closer inspection, we find that the two formulations are identical. They both contain Hoodia Gordonii Extract, Green Tea Extract, Natural Caffeine, Garcinia Extract, Choline, Inositol and L-Methionine. The only difference, as far as we know, are the usage instructions: one recommends up to three pills with meals; the other recommends two.

 | Formula In Depth |
We are curious about the manufacturer’s apparent decision to rework the name to say 10 days instead of 20 days. In any case, let us direct our attention to the formulation: the company claims it “contains Hoodia extract that is supercharged with 100% pure Green Tea extract.” We are interested in the Hoodia content, but not as much in the Green Tea content.
Green Tea appears to be used in many weight loss products, but it may not be as effective in burning fat and boosting energy as Advantra-Z®. The Bitter Orange Extract is recognized as the only patented fat burner on the market at time of review. The African plant, Hoodia, is said to have been used for generations by tribesmen to keep hunger at bay.
|
 | Cost |
We are pleased to find that the manufacturer provides three purchasing options on its official website: consumers may use the three links to order the item online; there is a “four for $48” offer that enables individuals to choose any four items in the company’s product lineup, including the product in question; or individuals may turn to their local retailers.
The product is currently priced at around $9.99 and $7.99 at two of the three retailers the company recommends; the third one states “this item is currently not available.” While the price may be relatively low, we are curious about the quality of the ingredients used. Hoodia just may be the only reputable one, with the exception perhaps of Garcinia Extract.
|
 | Conclusion |
Individuals may try 20-Day Hoodia Diet™ for free by requesting a 3-day trial sample that is currently available through the company’s website. Unfortunately, three days may not be enough to get an idea of the product’s effectiveness. Some companies are known to offer a full week’s supply free of charge, which may be more reasonable.
We conclude that the product may be somewhat useful in suppressing appetite, but there may be more comprehensive formulations on the market. As discussed previously, we are intrigued by the combination of the appetite suppressant, Hoodia, and the patented fat burner, Advantra-Z®. It is known to promote weight loss safely and effectively.
