Zone Diet |
 |
Introduction & Overview |
The Zone Diet website is a multi-faceted online diet program that requires a membership fee and login. At first glance, we see that the Zone Living diet includes several plans. We’ll take a good look at the Zone Diet website and conclude whether or not it appears to be a program that may be valuable.
We are skeptical about the idea of an online diet plan, partially because it appears as though the Zone Diet website also functions as an online store. We’re concerned that this online diet plan may be cluttered with sales pitches and product placement.

 | Website/Concept |
Essentially the Zone Diet website is a membership program. Members get access to online content like recipes, forums and diet programs. It’s a fairly novel idea for those who are Internet savvy and may want to track their diet online. However, we see a tremendous amount of point-of-sale options for Zone products, and we begin to worry that this online diet plan is really just a glorified online store.
The Zone products are fairly standard dietary supplements like Omega 3, skin and nail formulas and multi-vitamins. We don’t see a lot of evidence that there is anything extraordinary about the Zone products. The registration for the Zone Living diet plan is extensive and requires a good deal of personal information. We’re concerned that this membership is really a ploy to get customers wrapped into buying Zone products.
The website design is a professional and easy to navigate; however, it’s hard to learn what the Zone Lifestyle diet plan is really about without committing to a membership. At this point, we are not intrigued enough to suggest joining the Zone Lifestyle as an online member, since there isn’t a lot of information regarding what the diet entails.

 | Similar Programs |
There are some useful online forums about weight loss and health. Many of these allow users to open health-related discussions or to trade recipes and dieting concepts. What we don’t like about the Zone Diet website is that it seems like it may just be a marketing ploy to sell Zone products. We didn’t get far enough along in the enrollment process to see how much it costs to become a Zone Lifestyle member, but we were skeptical of the process.
Further, we didn’t see much to indicate that the Zone products were anything unique. We felt put-off by the Zone Diet website marketing techniques. In fact, many of the new all-natural weight loss products offer free customer service and free trials. With that in mind, the Zone Diet website and its related diet plans seem disingenuous.

 | Conclusion |
We like the idea of an online diet plan and dieting community. In fact, we have seen some worthy dieting forums online where people can trade information and inform themselves about nutrition. However, the Zone Diet website seems to be an interface that presents itself as a progressive, member-based dieting program while also being a marketing tool to sell Zone products. This was unsettling to us and caused us to approach the Zone Diet website with caution.
In addition, we were unable to find out how much it actually costs to become a Zone Lifestyle member or whatever, exactly, member benefits are. We know that members get access to diet plans and recipes, but that kind of information is often available for free.
Further, the Zone Diet doesn’t seem to offer much in the way of customer service, especially for a newcomer investigating the program. We’ve seen some incredible customer service plans for new, all-natural appetite suppressants and weight loss aids. We suggest looking elsewhere for both a diet plan and an online nutrition store, as the Zone Diet website seems to be elusive and misleading.
